Searching for: Senior Rails Developer
Weardrobe is a rapidly growing website with one of the leading fashion communities online. If you follow my tumblr or twitter at all, you know that we’re excited about what we build. We were recently acquired by Like.com, which means we now have even more resources to build cool stuff.
We are looking for a senior rails developer to lead the development of our website. You will lead the build out of a critical component of our product strategy.
All candidates must have several years experience working on high-traffic social community web sites, and mastery of:
- HTML, CSS
- JavaScript frameworks like prototype, jquery, dojo, YUI. You should be able to compare/contrast the frameworks and know the quirks of ones you’ve used.
- Cross-browser issues. You know exactly how to test and debug each browser and can quantitatively identify performance bottlenecks.
- Third-party integration. You know the pitfalls of third-party cookies. You’re familiar with cross-domain issues in both DHTML and Flash.
- ActionScript. You should be comfortable with AS 2.0 and 3.0 and be able to maintain codebases in both versions. You know how and when to use Flash-cookies.
- Version control systems like CVS, Subversion.
- Bug-tracking systems like Fogbugz, Bugzilla.
- XSLT
Email me at suzanne@weardrobe.com asap!
Click on the ingredients you have in fridge and cupboard and they will help you with recipes. With what you have.
Anyone can be a great cook with the fancy stuff. It is cooking from scratch what really sets you apart.
(ah well…..Monday babbling)
THANK YOU.
